| Q. |
How
do you get charged with spiritual energy? |
| A. |
Spirituality
is being a person of character. If you are a person
of character, you do not dissipate energy on worldly
pursuits. You do not waste energy on negative emotions.
There is no leakage of energy through your sense
organs. If you are in meditation, cosmic energy
enters you. With accretion of energy and no dissipation,
you are bound to have superabundant energy. |

| Q. |
Do
science and spirituality go together? |
| A. |
Spirituality
is in itself a science. There are laws governing
the spiritual realm. Every effect has a cause. To
every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
If you meditate your mind becomes calm. If you cultivate
positive emotions, your mind becomes calm. If you
are contented with what you have, your mind becomes
calm. A calm mind is the best tool to see and face
reality. |

| Q. |
Which
country has the potential to be the spiritual superpower
of the world? |
| A. |
Each
country has its strong points and its weak points
Many of the world's great thinkers have taken note
of India's obsession with spirituality. The Perennial
Philosophy of the Sanatana Dharma took birth here.
The major faiths like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism,
Sikhism etc. started from here. There are historical
proofs that the Sanatana Dharma also heavily influenced
the Semitic religions Judaism, Christianity and
Islam. In modern times numerous movements like the
Ramakrishna-Vivekananda movement, the Arya Samaj,
The Brahmo Samaj, the Aurobindo society, Yogada
Satsang, Radhasoami, Transcendal Meditation, The
Hare Krishna, The Sai Baba movement etc. trace their
origin to India.
Sai Baba says that "India
is the locomotive that will carry the passenger
coaches of the other countries to the realm of spirituality."
Maulana Waheeduddin Khan, Director, Islamic Centre,
Delhi, says India is the potential spiritual superpower,
which will emerge in a big way in the 21st century. |

| Q. |
Is
transformation vital for spiritual awakening? |
| A. |
It
is impossible to travel even a few steps on the
spiritual path unless there is first a total transformation
in our pattern of daily life. We have to understand
that the purpose of life is to express the divinity
latent within us. We have to opt out of the rat
race. We have to be content with what we have. We
have to keep a ceiling on our desires. We have to
stop worrying. We have to live in the present moment.
We have to see life as it is. We have to grasp the
transitoriness of everything here. We have to see
that God is the only permanent reality here. |

| Q. |
Is
introspection nourishment for the soul? |
| A. |
Introspection
is a very significant step in the spiritual journey.
A wholly extroverted personality may find it difficult
to think of the four fundamental questions:
Who am I?
Where from have I come?
Where am I going?
What is the purpose of my life?
When these questions arise in the mind, the mind
stars looking inwards. This is introspection. If
we do not come to this stage in the course of a
natural process, life deals us a heavy blow in the
form of a personal tragedy or some catastrophe,
which forces us to sit back and think |

What
is the key to peace? |
| A. |
If
we all practice truth, it will lead to righteous
conduct. This will energize the heart and generate
